  1. Southern Woods says:

Brew pub–Tbe owner of McNellie’s has opened a small pub in Norman and certainly could be enticed to do the same in Stillwater… I think Ted’s is also a great idea. Big Truck Tacos!!!!

  2. Anonymous says:

Pei Wei would be the best!! Olive Garden would also be nice.

  3. ks says:

BJ’s Brewpub would be a great addition – excellent food and a nicer atmosphere. A popular chain restaurant like PF Changs, Carrabbas, etc… would also be an excellent addition down in the southwest part of town that is growing.

  4. Andrea says:

Cheesecake Factory, a REAL Italian restaurant, more restaurants on the west side of town by the new Sonic, Jason’s Deli, City Bites–Oklahoma based company, etc.

  5. Cindy says:

We desperately need a Johnny Carinos, the price is great and the food is awesome! Also need another good steak place like Outback. Texas Roadhouse is too busy to get in most of the time and I think we could definitely support both.

Just NO MORE MEXICAN! We have them on every corner.

  6. westsider says:

I think Schlotzsky’s or Jimmy Johns would be good

  7. westsider says:

We need a good Italian restaurant (ie not Olive Garden).

  8. Mark says:

Pei Wei and a Pearls Oyster Bar

  9. Alicia says:

My family would love to have Pei Wei, Macaroni Grill, and Abuelos in Stillwater!!! We make the drive to OKC to dine at these restaurants, specifically.

  10. Dawn says:

    Pei Wei and Cheesecake Factory

  11. Brian Porter says:

Joseppis is a sorry excuse for italian food. Stillwater needs an olive garden ASAP. It would do so well! Please bring OG to Stillwater

  12. Jeremy Heller says:

Olive Garden or Zios is a must in Stillwater. Stillwater is lacking a good italian restaurant and joseppi’s is flat out gross.

  13. Anonymous says:

I would love to have a Double Daves Pizza here.

  14. Carrie says:

It would be nice to have a few more unique little non-chain restaurants downtown.

  15. Anonymous says:

A nice restaurant on the west side of town.

  16. Tiffani says:

    Outback would be great toooo

  17. Tiffani says:

Although Olive Garden would be nice. Los Cabos is only located in Tulsa and has incredible mexican food, I actually prefer their food to Abuelos or Teds. I know people don’t want any more mexican restaurants but thats because they are not all that great here so lets get one in here that kicks some u no what!!!! Oh and ya PF Changs would kill it!

  18. Andy Clower says:

A brewpub would be a wonderful addition to Stillwater.

  19. anonymous says:

I love a town that thinks Olive Garden, fettuccine alfredo and spaghetti with meatballs is authentic Italian food. How we get a little perspective in this town, and you can serve it on your Chinese buffet for $5.99. Eat up kiddies this is the good stuff!!

  20. Anonymous says:

Doesn’t every college town need a BREWPUB or two? We have lived here six years and still shake our heads over the lack of a good brewpub in Stillwater.

  21. GPC says:

OLIVE GARDEN! I really don’t like Joseppi’s and as I’ve talked to my friends I haven’t found one that does. They have all said they would love an Olive Garden! So we would all appreciate it if you would do what you can to bring one in!

    Thanks!

  22. Cindy says:

JASON’S DELI OR CAMILLE’S SIDEWALK CAFE

  23. Anonymous says:

For the love of God — no more crap Mexican or Chinese restaurants. No more damn nail salons either

  24. Shonda Brisco says:

Some suggestions would be: Olive Garden, Joe’s Crab Shack, Johnny Carino’s, Cracker Barrel, Outback, On the Border, Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, P.F. Chang’s, Boston Market, Rockfish Seafood Grill, Ruby Tuesday, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Ryan’s Family Steakhouse, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Spaghetti Warehouse, Tia’s Tex Mex, Zio’s Italian Kitchen— for the children, it might be fun to have a Chuckie Cheese Pizza for group events, activities, birthdays, and food for families.

  25. Jeff St. Pierre says:

I would love to see a good, Greek owned, family restaurant here. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all the time with a full bar. The kind you see all over the Chicago area!

  26. Matt says:

How about some decent seafood. I’d take anything besides Red Lobster… maybe Joe’s Crab Shack or something along those lines. A Hooters would be really good too.

  27. Andrea says:

Johnny Carino’s beats Olive Garden’s food almost any day, but I think both would be good considering Olive Garden’s price point. Stan Clark needs a little more competition and then maybe he will start serving better food. I think a Pei Wei or PF Changs would be awesome as well. To be perfectly honest any form of Italian place would do amazingly well in Stillwater considering our only choice is Joeseppis which is often poor quality.

  28. Sara says:

Mexican and Barbecue are great but there is a little too much of that in Stillwater. I would like to see more variety.

  29. Tessa says:

Several people have already suggested Pei Wei… I agree!

  30. Todd says:

Just wanted give a shout to the folks at Thia Cafe for providing a great place to eat! Try the coconut chicken!

  31. Anonymous says:

Ouback, Macaroni Grill would be wonderful!

  32. K-man says:

More nice restaurants that represent European cuisines:Irish Pub,German,French,Spanish,Turkish,Greek(not the fast food type),seafood place, another wine bar.Whatever it is preferably with OUTDOOR SEATING.
Did I say fine PASTRY SHOP(French,Italian,German deserts and cakes)?

Tired of Chinese places ,Mexican and pizza.

    Some examples from OKC:Zorba’s,Bolero,La Baguette
    Tulsa:La Roma,Lola’s at the bowery(tapas,my favorite),Tucci’s,Bodean seafood,Margaret’s

I completely agree with the suggestion for more diversity in cuisine!! We would love another Greek restaurant which isn’t fast food. We would also love a bakery or pastry shop!

  33. Anonymous says:

How about a Delta Cafe ?

Stillwater could use a “home-cooking” restaurant like that.

They offer chicken fried steak, pot roast, meatloaf, and much more.

Their rolls and cornbread are great, too…

  34. Patty Brien says:

I would like a TGIF or olive garden. We need more eating places in the area.

  35. Todd says:

We desperatley need more eating options on the West side of town. Something along the lines of Carrabas or Johnny Carinos. Please, no more “authentic” Mexican restaurants!!

  36. anonymous says:

I think that the last thing Stillwater needs is ANOTHER chain restaurant…what makes Stillwater stand out in terms of restaurants are the local places like Hideaway and Eskimo Joes. I agree that a new Italian restaurant is needed, but why not a nice, unique to Stillwater place? Check out Benvenutis in Norman for an example. It has done very well, provides excellent Italian food, and the potential for more casual dinners, date nights, or multi-course dinners with excellent wine for companies trying to recruit people to move to Stillwater.

  37. Anonymous says:

Our family would LOVE to see an OLIVE GARDEN. We’re from Perry & go to Stillwater frequently. Another Italian place would be great, especially an Olive Garden.

  38. As the Director of Sales for the brand new Marriott, Residence Inn I know what our customers and community wants. The top three requests regardless of the choices on the East side of town are RESTARAUNTS, shopping, entertainment and a huge request for MEETING SPACE. MEETING space is an absolute need in the community to KEEP business in STILLWATER. If we are looking for ways to keep our $ in Stillwater rather than giving it to OKC as well as Tulsa, lets do something about it. Suggested restaraunts ecspecially on the West side of town, would be (and these are suggestioms from our travelers & residents not my own personel)-Italian! Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Johnny Carino’s Italian Grill ,Carmelo’s. Other restaraunts that would do very well here include chains like Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Mimis Cafe. Steakhouse requests…besides one of my favorite local “Freddie Pauls” include Outback Steakhouse and Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon. Much more to come!

  39. Tracy says:

I think we need three types of restaurants, all of which have been mentioned here:

    1. A nice, “date night” kind of restaurant
    2. A fun restaurant like Dave & Buster’s
    3. A kid-centered restaurant like Incredible Pizza or Celebration Station

  40. ss says:

I would love to have something that’s not another generic bar and grill (e.g., TGIFridays’). I would love having more nice mom & pop restaurants with truly good food. As for chains, realistically I think Stillwater could support a Carrabba’s, bd’s Mongolian Grill, and maybe even a PF Chang’s.

  41. SM says:

A nice restaurant for ‘dates’ would be nice (steak place, Italian, etc.). . no more Mexican (1/2 of our restaurants are those, with many Chinese too!). . . . I’m so glad we got a bagel shop back. . . .we don’t need any more fast food places. . . . Olive Garden or Zio’s or Macaroni Grill, Outback, etc. . .

  42. Dev says:

    How about an Indian restaurant?

  43. Stacy says:

Olive Garden. Schlotzkys. Both on SW side. Charlestons.

  44. June G. says:

Ted’s, Cracker Barrel, Souper-Salad, for resturants. Mac computers and a
GOOD movie theater. Home Depot would be nice too. Thanks!!

  45. Abby says:

I’m thinking a nice fish restaurant like FishDaddy’s in Tulsa. All we have is Red Lobster here. We used to have Bill’s and it was fabulous. Um, also perhaps a Pei Wei, Olive Garden or Carino’s. Anything but another Mexican restaurant, please!

  46. Wilson says:

I vote for Golden corral. But lets keep stillwater clean, beautiful and our values in tact by leaving Hooters out , lets not move 4th and washington out west of town

  47. Diane says:

Thank you Brad Thorpe – Johnny Carino’s or even Macaroni Grill – both are much better than the Olive Garden!

  48. Sarah Chaloner says:

    Cheddars and Pei Wei! Yum
